The Public Defender (Ombudswoman) of Georgia and ENNHRI are organising an online seminar on “Promoting participation of independent monitoring frameworks, OPDs and CSOs in the work of the UN CRPD Committee during pandemic and beyond.”
The main objective of the seminar is to learn about the main aspects of and different opportunities for participation in the work of the UN CRPD Committee during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants will hear about this directly from Mr. Markus Schefer, a member of the Committee.
The Seminar will also facilitate and promote the work of civil society organisations (CSOs) and organisations of persons with disabilities (OPDs), as well as independent monitoring mechanisms and national human rights institutions (NHRIs), to better communicate and achieve meaningful and effective interaction with the UN CRPD Committee.
Please find here the Concept Note of the Seminar for further details.
To attend the seminar, please register by 7 December 2021, 12:00 CET. A full agenda and Zoom link to join the meeting will follow soon.
