The European Network of National Human Rights Institutions, the European Implementation Network and the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the Council of Europe are joining forces to deliver a series of webinars on the implementation of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR). Tailored for the experience and needs of National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs), the webinars aim to inform and train NHRI representatives about the importance of implementation work and the ways to mainstream it across their organisations, to help improve the overall human rights situation in Europe.

Maria Gavouneli, President of the Greek National Commission for Human Rights (GNCHR) explains why NHRIs should support the implementation of ECtHR judgments and how this webinar series can help them intervene in the process.

Nikolaos Sitaropoulos, Head of Division of the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the Council of Europe highlights the role of NHRIs in the Implementation of the ECtHR judgements

George Stafford from the European Implementation Network illustrates why the Implementation of ECtHR judgments is important and how NHRIs can use it to improve human rights at the national and regional level.
