NHRIs join the Human Rights Day Campaign “Reducing inequalities, advancing human rights”

Human Rights Day is observed annually on 10 December to mark the the day when the UN General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in 1948.

On this Human Rights Day, the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights is launching a year-long campaign to promote and recognise the UDHR ahead of its 75th anniversary next year. This campaign will also showcase the UDHR by focusing on its legacy, relevance and activism. The slogan for this year is “Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for All”, while the call to action is #StandUp4HumanRights.

Throughout the day, the feed below will feature social media posts from European NHRIs celebrating Human Rights Day, marking the start of the UDHR campaign, and standing up for human rights.
