Vacancy for Communications Traineeship at ENNHRI

ENNHRI is looking for a full-time trainee to support its communications work for six months. The candidate will play an important role in ENNHRI’s daily work, with a focus on ENNHRI communications. He/she will assist the Communications Officer in the management of both internal and external communication activities.

Main duties and tasks:

  • Drafting and updating content for the ENNHRI website, social media channels and internal members’ area
  • Developing and distributing ENNHRI newsletters
  • Planning and developing a social media outreach plan (mainly on Twitter and Facebook) to enhance ENNHRI’s online presence
  • Designing and producing communication materials, such as infographics, publications, factsheets and other material as required
  • Planning and conducting communications activities for events, including the preparation of communications packages
  • Reporting on data analytics of communications activities and making recommendations for improvement
  • Assisting with the implementation of a migration to a new website
  • Monitoring relevant news and media updates on human rights
  • Carrying out general administrative tasks, such as maintaining databases and responding to information requests

Requirements:

Required:

  • Enthusiasm to learn and work in a small team
  • Academic or professional experience in communications, human rights, European studies, international relations, or another relevant field
  • Excellent command of English, including excellent writing skills
  • Ability to write clear and concise content and to optimise dense written content into formats suitable for web
  • Some experience working with social media management
  • Some experience working with website Content Management Systems
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to draw strategic insights
  • Knowledge of and commitment to human rights

Advantageous:

  • Knowledge and experience of graphic design (e.g. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Experience with Google Analytics or another digital analytics platform
  • Experience with MailChimp or another email management platform
  • Previous experience with knowledge management
  • Experience working in a membership organisation
